Message from the leadership team

Dear UTP Community,

Since 2020, the University of Toronto Policython (UTP) has pursued a single overarching vision: to equip youth with the skills and experiences needed to excel in policymaking, governance, and advocacy.

To bring this vision to life, we’ve hosted Fireside Chats, run General Membership programs, launched a student-led Publications Journal, held networking events, and organized our annual flagship event—Policython. Through these initiatives, we engage hundreds of students, academics, public servants, politicians, and industry leaders every year, all united by a shared passion for better public policy.

At UTP, we believe in the power of collective action and in the leadership of young people to drive meaningful change. Your lived experiences and perspectives are vital, and we hope our platform can support you in honing your skills and tackling the pressing challenges facing our communities.

In our sixth year of action, we look forward to building on this momentum—reaching more students and deepening our impact across Canada.

We can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish together.

In solidarity,

Luke Lee (he/him)

President

Isha Yadav (she/her)

Vice-President, Academics

Gabriella Liv Krol (she/her)

University of Toronto Policython 2025-2026

Unviersity of Toronto Policython wishes to acknowledge the land on which the University of Toronto Policython operates. For thousands of years it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, this meeting place is still the home for many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful for the opportunity to work, learn, and gather on this land.
